Yet, Tanya Memme is all of these, and more! This Canadian farm girl turned television host has become a familiar face to millions of viewers, one craft and DIY project at a time.
Tanya spent thirteen seasons on A&E’s Emmy-nominated TV shows Sell This House, Sell This House Extreme and Move This House where she helped hundreds of families across America through the emotional process of redesigning their homes in preparation to sell, all while staying on a budget. Her mom an fine artist and her father a home builder…this is how her DIY career began. For four seasons she on Hallmark Channel’s twice Emmy-nominated lifestyle show, Home and Family, she was cast as the Crafting & DIY expert. On the show, Tanya inspired families to strengthen bonds through crafting and helped parents explore their children’s creativity, while creating magical memories.
As the host of KTLA’s Best Vacations, Tanya takes viewers on fabulous journeys exploring top destinations around the world. Tanya is also a proud spokesperson for the non-profit organization Wells Of Hope. She dedicates her time to travel to Guatemala to help build wells, schools and communities alongside her father, Frank Memme. It’s a tradition she hopes to continue with her own daughter.
anya credits her success to her family, not only for their love and support, but also for inspiring her own creativity. Her father was one of the founders of Mountain View Homes, a family owned, award-winning housing company in Canada, known for custom built homes and commercial developments. Her mother is a successful fine artist who takes her canvas and paints with her wherever she goes. It was because of these two incredible influences that Tanya realized how the power and beauty of inspiration, married with imagination and creativity, could bring any dream to life.
She truly believes simple joys are the greatest rewards and she thrives on helping others find their inspiration. For Tanya, it’s not about creating the perfect life, but creating the best life possible and she finds her ability to inspire others to create a colorful life the best reward.
Through it all, Tanya is still the down-to-earth woman she’s always been, figuring it out along the way just like every busy mom.
She currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband, daughter Ava, and two cats named Tommy & Cartman – who have become quite famous on their own.
