Made In Nature
Trying to find healthy snacks for kids is not an easy task, especially when packing for a trip or going on a family adventure. This past weekend was my daughter Ava’s 4th birthday and we decided to take her and her two cousins, Mona and Mila, to Lego Land. Eating healthy is important to me so making sure the kids eat healthy too is a big priority. We all know this is not an easy task at an amusement park. A few weeks ago, I came across these snacks from Made In Nature that are amazingly yummy and nutritious that I just love! They tick all of my boxes too: organic, non-GMO, packed with vitamins and nutrients and don’t require refrigeration. Plus, you can choose from all kinds of organic coconut chips and dried fruit snacks that are packed in resealable bags – essential for day trips with kids.
They made for perfect snacks at the amusement park, for school lunches, I brought them out at Ava’s birthday party, and they’re even great as a treat before bed. I’m all for a healthy snack that curbs my daughter’s appetite away from sugary snacks. We had a fantastic time at Lego Land and I can’t say the kids didn’t eat any junk food, but the Made In Nature snacks had a huge impact on limiting the amount they would have had! Ava and Mona especially loved the coconut chips; everything from the Maple Madagascar Vanilla to the Ginger Masala Chai and the Vietnamese Cinnamon Swirl. We had fun trying to say the names and seeing who could remember the most.
Even my mom and I couldn’t get enough. She’s diabetic and couldn’t keep her paws out of the dates. I ate the entire large bags of Goji Berries! Words spoken straight from my mom, “Man, those things are so addictive, I can’t stop eating them!” Lol! Every morning I would find either Ava, my mom or someone else in the house with their nose nestled deep inside a bag of the coconut chips like little mice hiding as they eat so they won’t have to share.
As a mom, I couldn’t be happier to find a healthy snack that’s also a wonderful addition to salads, yogurt parfaits, cookies and ginger soup.
