Fabric Patching

Instead of¬†adding patches when an elbow or knee on your children’s clothing has worn out, I say add patches to give your kids’ denim a new look for less! With just fabric, scissors and fabric glue, you can completely transform just about any piece of denim clothing. This DIY is so quick and easy, you won’t believe it!

  • Fabric
  • Scissors
  • Fabric Glue

1. Wash and pre-shrink the fabric you’ll be using as a patch.

2. Cut the fabric into the desired shape for your denim clothing. Pockets, hems and shapes created by seams are perfect for adding patches of fabric, as shown.

3. Using the fabric glue, glue the fabric onto the denim. You can also use pieces of the fabric as embellishments, there’s really no end to the possibilities!
