DIY Liquid Starch
If you’ve got cornstarch in your pantry, you can make liquid starch that’s a great adhesive and stiffener for crafts! I try to make sure to always have it on hand in my house. If I happen to run out, the great thing is cornstarch can readily found in the baking section of any local grocery store!
Mason jar with lid or other airtight container
1. In a mixing bowl, mix 2 heaping tablespoons of corn starch into 1/2 cup cold water with a whisk to create an even slurry.
2. Stir in 2 cups of boiling water.
3. Once cooled, the liquid starch is ready to use.
4. Store leftover mixture in a sealed mason jar for up to 1 month in the refrigerator. Be sure to label so it’s not mistaken for something edible, and include the expiration date!
